VanKraft – VW T5 / T6 Double Folding Passenger Seat Conversion

Vankraft VW T5 / T6 double folding passenger seat conversion. M1 crash tested. Fits all models 2003 to 2024.

These brackets allow the backrest to fold flat and gives a more comfortable seating position. Multiple options available.

If you have a double passenger seat with a fixed backrest, this modification will allow the backrest to fold forward to a flat position. The seat can then be used as a flat surface or to make room for loading extra-long items.

Vankraft produces 3 versions of the bracket, each providing a different backrest recline angle when upright.

• Option 1: 10 degree recline. Our most popular option, this makes the seating position far more comfortable than the standard upright position supplied by VW.
• Option 2: 5 degree recline. This option is mainly for customers with “Rusty Lee” or “MS Craft” swivel bases with a spacer that already tilts the seat base up at the front. The Vankraft 5-degree bracket combined with the spacer brings the recline angle much closer to the more comfortable 10-degree recline.
• Option 3: 0 degree recline angle. Replicates the standard seating position as supplied by VW, designed to suit a van with a bulkhead.

Please note: When carrying out the install, we add wood to the rear of the seat to strengthen it, meaning you can stand on the rear of the seat to get into the pop top if you van is converted. This does not affect the operation or comfort of the seat.
